Growing strong!

It's been close to year since we - Dimitris and I - started doing the show and we'd like to thank all of our faithful listeners for their support! It's been a really good year for us and we appreciate the chance to travel through music with you as our companions! Stay tuned for there is still ground to cover...

We'd like to wish all the best to Roula who is no longer with us (in Champaign, that is) and has moved to better things! Take care Roula!

We're back!

'The Journey' is back as of Sunday, June 15th... Don't forget to tune in...

There will be no show this Sunday, June 1st, since:

"WEFT experienced a lightning strike Friday night, May 30th, at 6PM, to a unit critical to the operation of the transmitter. The controller's circuit board was damaged, and is in the process of being repaired. The station hopes to resume broadcasting early in the first week of June."

We'll be back on June 8th!

Show Themes

First of all, thank you to all who listen, both in the US and back home! It's our pleasure to know that we have an audience! An idea we had was to do a few shows that would have shared thematic content; such was the show on March 2nd where our theme was the sea. We'll be doing some shows centerd around the poetry (put to music) of famous Greek poets such as Odysseus Elytis, Georgios Seferis, Kostas Karyotakis, Kostas Varnalis, Nikos Gkatsos and others. Another such show will be on March 30th where our theme will be the national holidays of March 25th (rising against the Ottoman Empire in 1821) and April 1st (rising against the British occupation of Cyprus in 1955). So, tune in to listen to some 'revolutionary' music!
